Barnes and Noble said Monday that its Nook Ereader will add several features and become known as the Nook Color Reader's Tablet. The change will take place through a firmware update.
The Nook will continue to cost $249.
"NOOK Color offers the best reading experience of any device, and now delivers the most popular tablet features such as engaging apps so customers can play, learn and explore, free, built-in email, an Android operating system update for enhanced Web browsing and more interactive content,” CEO William Lynch said in a statement.
