Online retail sales jumped 9 percent in the most recent quarter, with consumer electronics sales among the driving factors, according to numbers released Monday by comscore.
Consumer electronics, along with Computers/Peripherals/PDAs, Computer Software and books and magazines, were the top-performing online product categories.
“Retail e-commerce growth in the third quarter remained solid at 9 percent, a fairly positive indicator for the upcoming holiday season,” comScore chairman Gian Fulgoni said in a statement.
