Panasonic and Netgear Wednesday announced that they have teamed up to provide networking products around the Viera line of HDTVs, beginning with the new Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter.

Netgear is the only third-party brand in support of the Viera line, the companies said. The adapter has an MSRP of $79.99 and is available now.

"The Netgear and Panasonic partnership enables consumers to easily connect their home entertainment devices and access their favorite online content right from their living rooms through the TV," David Henry, Senior Director of Product Marketing for home products with Netgear, said as part of the announcement.

"Netgear's Wireless Dual Band USB Adapters deliver the speed and reliability needed for video streaming. This coupled with Panasonic's undisputed leadership and innovation in the HDTV market, makes it possible for any consumer to have an exceptional entertainment experience in the home."
