CSAV Inc., vendor of mounting solutions, announced the appointment of Troy Peifer as chief financial officer (CFO). He joins Chief from Flexi-Mat Corporation, where he was the CFO for the last nine years after being a controller for three years. Peifer is a CPA and holds a B.S. degree in accounting from Illinois State University and an MBA from Northwestern University.

Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI), announced that Andrew Werdean has joined the firm as the new western regional sales manager. Werdean will be responsible for managing distribution of RTI products in the western United States and for servicing RTIÅfs increasing dealer base in the territory. He has over 20 years of audio video industry experience to the RTI sales and marketing team. For the past ten years, Werdean served as Western Regional Sales Manager for Jamo, a division of the Klipsch Group of America. Prior to his tenure with Jamo, Werdean was the Home Audio Marketing Director and Sales Manager for MTX.

SDI Technologies Inc. announced the addition of Mark Carroll as vice president, sales division. Carroll has over 25 years of experience in consumer electronics sales and marketing. Most recently he was a senior vice president for Sharp Electronics, responsible for their home office product categories (fax, copiers, calculators, cash registers, data projectors), as well as commercial market sales. Prior to working for Sharp, he held senior level sales and marketing positions with Texas Instruments, Casio and Franklin Electronics.

ALK Technologies announced that Dan Popkin and Michael Kornhauser have been appointed to the company’s senior management team as vice president, sales director Europe and vice president, managing director Europe, respectively. ALK says Popkin and Kornhauser established ALK’s European operations, ALK Technologies Ltd., in 2003, and have developed successful commercial relationships with partners across Europe, including T-Mobile, Scania, Motorola, BMW and ACER. They also built a team of marketing, business development and support professionals in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Taiwan to support the company’s expansion.

Vista Pacific Group, a vendor of luxury home products, hired Aaron Cleary as one of its new sales representatives. Cleary comes from Westworld Distribution, where he worked on new dealer applications, product training and inside sales. Previously he worked as a sales representative for Home Depot, in the electrical and lighting departments, and has installer experience from several years at Wilshire Home Entertainment and Awetronics Home Entertainment.
