AMX has hired David Goldenberg as general manager of its East Coast office. He’ll be responsible for the company’s Northeast and Mid-Atlantic operations, which includes sales and training. He replaces Debbie Franklin, who was recently promoted to AMX vice president of global account management.

Goldenberg was previously president of ACE Communications a Garden City, N.Y., systems integrator, where he oversaw the company’s daily operations, including profit and loss management, strategic business and marketing planning, sales forecasting, vertical market expansion, public relations and vendor alliances.

Prior to joining ACE, Goldenberg held senior sales positions at AT&T and IBM, where he helped create the company’s global virtual private network (VPN). In 2002, he was named to the elite 40/40 List by Long Island Business News, an award honoring 40 Long Island up-and-coming business and civic leaders under the age of 40. Goldenberg is a member of the International Communications Industries of America (ICIA) and the National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA). He holds a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration from Fordham University and an executive master’s in business administration from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management.
