Polaroid announced this week that it has promoted Scott W. Hardy to the position of president and CEO. He had been president since 2009 but now takes on the CEO title as well.
Hardy previously worked at Dell and Intel.
“As President and CEO of Polaroid, Scott now assumes the very special responsibility as steward of this iconic American brand. We didn’t buy Polaroid simply to take a walk down memory lane. Polaroid has always stood for innovation and cutting edge products,” Bobby Sager, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Polaroid, said in a statement.
“With Scott’s long tenure at Polaroid, he is uniquely qualified to reach back into our proud history and reimagine Polaroid for the 21st century.
