Polaroid said this week that it will
open a series of Fotobar mini-retail stores in several cities. Plans for the stores will be launched at International CES next week.
Up to ten of the locations will open in U.S. cities, starting in February. The goal, the company said, is to "make the process of turning peoples' best pictures into cherished pieces of art both rewarding and fun."
"Polaroid is about sharing life's most precious and memorable moments," CEO Scott W. Hardy said in a statement. "We have been, and continue to be, about self-expression, creativity and fun. Polaroid Fotobar retail stores represent a perfect modern expression of the values for which we have stood for 75 years.
