Singer/songwriter/ TV personality Ray J – now turned tech entrepreneur – is partnering with CE distributor Cowboy Electronics to bring to market the fruits of a lineup that debuted at January CES as the Raycon collection. The range includes a wide swath of CE product categories such as smartwatches, sound bars, and Bluetooth speakers.
Wireless earphones that set the tone for design and performance within the CE line include the Starship E70 – futuristically designed Bluetooth 4.2 earphones that come in a choice of five colors, have a built-in microphone to take calls, and are encased in a charging capsule for a simplified battery refresh process. Emphasis for the CE product ranges is on offering aspirational, high-quality products at reasonable prices, and in the hottest colors and most stylish finishes, said the company.
The line also extends into the electronic bikes/scooters categories – which capitalize on the “green” transportation trend, such as the Hyper Flight SB-2 Electric Bike, a new iteration of the Scoot-E Bike first brought out in 2016 as a precursor to the current Raycon range. Among the fans of the electric bike that Raycon names is Snoop Dogg - who also happens to be Ray J’s first cousin. The bikes, which fold-up for carrying, offer enhanced cruise control, a top speed of 20 mph and a range of up to 30 miles per charge. A leather seat, a front headlight and an LED dashboard to display data including battery level and speed are other features. Also set to debut as part of the new assortment is the Hyper Flight Electric Scooter.
