Retail Sales Drop For First Time in Four Months

Due largely to Hurricane Sandy, retail sales posted a drop in October for the first time in four months, according to government statistics.

The sales number dropped 0.3 percent, according to Wednesday's figures. Sales were down for electronics and appliances as well.

In a statement, the National Retail Federation also attributed to decline to the looming "fiscal cliff."
