Roku announced this week that it has reached several partnerships for developing CE devices that use its new Streaming Stick product. The partners include Best Buy's Insignia, Element Electronics, Haier, Hitachi, Mitsubishi, Onkyo, Integra and Oppo.

The partners will all produce "Roku Ready" devices, which is scheduled to arrive in the "coming weeks" after its introduction at International CES in January.

“The response to the Roku Streaming Stick is tremendous. Consumer electronics manufacturers recognize the value in making products that stream entertainment, yet it is very difficult for them to deliver and sustain a vibrant, robust streaming platform on their own,” Chas Smith, vice president of business development at Roku said as part of the announcement.

“The Roku Streaming Stick adds instant access to the leading streaming platform with virtually no overhead from manufacturers, while giving consumers the best streaming experience available.”
