Russound Prepares for XStream X5 Launch

The company debuted the XStream X1 platform and the X5 Streaming Controller Amplifier at CEDIA 2013 with a marketing campaign headed by an ice cream truck. The “variety” metaphor was a big hit and so was the X1, which sold out immediately during its first launch.
According to Jeff Myatt, director of marketing, the products are being used creatively and in unexpected ways.
“It’s a wireless product with the most wireless options,” said Myatt. “We do have a lot of things that we can add and build per room based on what the consumer’s needs are.”
Russound is also hosting a social media contest in which consumers can share a photo and their XStream story for a chance to win Acclaim Speakers for every project from Oct. 1 through Dec. 31 of this year.
