Mac Sales Plunge in February

Sales of Mac computers dropped in February, as expected, as Apple prepared to roll out new models.

According to NPD Group numbers, as cited by Reuters, sales of Macs in the U.S. dropped 16 percent in the month, including a 7 percent drop in sales of laptops. PCs, however, rose 22 percent, with laptop sales rising 36 percent.

Apple announced a new line of Macs in early March.
