Samsung and Google Wednesday in Hong Kong finally unveiled the long-awaited new Galaxy Nexus, the first device to feature the new "Ice Cream Sandwich" version of Android.

The phone features a 4.65" HD screen, as well as support for NFC payments.

"Samsung and Google have closely collaborated to push the mobile experience forward. We are pleased to deliver the best Android smartphone experience for customers with Galaxy Nexus. We will continue to move forward with Android to provide the compelling consumer experience in mobile world," JK Shin, President and Head of Samsung's Mobile Communications Business, said as part of the announcement.

The phone will be exclusive to Verizon Wireless in the U.S. and will arrive next month.
