Samsung Unveils Galaxy Tab S Tablets

Samsung’s latest Galaxy launch is of a line of tablets. The new Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and Galaxy Tab S 8.4 were unveiled Thursday at an event in New York.

The tablets combine a thinner form factor with a Super AMOLED display.

“Building on the heritage of the Galaxy S smartphone line, the Galaxy Tab S line delivers on our commitment to bring meaningful innovation that our customers care most about,” Gregory Lee, president and CEO of Samsung Telecommunications America and Samsung Electronics North America Headquarters, said as part of the announcement.

“We know consumers want the best screen when purchasing a tablet, and as an undisputed leader in display technology, we’ve brought our industry-leading Super AMOLED screen to the Tab S for an unrivaled viewing experience in both connected and Wi-Fi options.”

Pre-orders began Friday at midnight for the products, which retail for $399.99 and $499.99.
