Sanus Shows Its Range at CEDIA ExpoOctober 1, 2012 By Jack Cotter
Sanus brought a number of new products to CEDIA, ranging from luxurious high-end furniture to functional iPad mounting solutions.
The new premium Sanus Alabaster Collection of hardwood, handcrafted AV furniture is a new addition, and should be available at the end of October or in November. Each is pre-assembled and features a built-in six-outlet power strip, and is rack rail compatible.
The Alabaster 42" AV Cabinet has four internal shelves with integrated cable management and built-in convection cooling ventilation. The ACA42 will cost $899.
The Alabaster AV Media Consoles are the Alabaster 53" console for TVs up to 60", and the Alabaster 73" console for TVs up to 80". Each unit features adjustable shelves, two storage drawers and built-in ventilation to enable the sleek fully enclosed appearance. The AVC53 will cost $999 and the AVC73 will cost $1399.
Sanus also introduced a new iPad mounting system for the iPad 2 and the new iPad. The VTM1-S1 is a versatile stand and mounting solution that attaches to the iPad via the MagFit case. It can be installed on wood, concrete or drywall, or can be mounted under a cabinet. The iPad attaches and detaches easily, and the case can attach the iPad directly to any magnetic surface while still allowing 360 degree rotation.
For users that want even more options, the VTM6 mounting solution includes two pucks which can be placed in multiple locations for quick mounting flush to the wall.
For $49.99 users can get two pucks, while the on-wall or under cabinet mount is $79.99 and the free-standing table-top stand is $99.99. They will ship in October.
Sanus also introduced new Skeleton Racks with the convenience of the integrator in mind. The stackable CFR1615 and CFR1620 each come with shelves and screws all in one UPS shippable box.
Finally Sanus showed a number of new TV wall mounts including the super slim VLF410 which features a profile depth of 1.2", the VMF408, and the VMT35 tilting wall mount.
