Sears Holdings Announces Restructuring

The retail giant Sears Holdings announced Monday that it will adjust its corporate structure, and allow greater control for each individual unit, Reuters reported.

“We are introducing an organizational structure that provides operating businesses with greater control, authority and autonomy,” the company said in a statement.

Sears Holdings was formed by the Sears/Kmart merger in 2005, and is currently controlled by hedge fund king Edward Lampert.
