Sharp, Samsung Settle on Patents

Sharp and Samsung this weekend reached a deal to settle all patent infringement disputes between the two companies, IDG News Service reported.
The two Asian TV giants had been fighting over LCD TV patents since 2007, when Sharp filed suit in the U.S. Samsung later countersued in South Korea, and the litigation expanded into both Japan and Europe.
The deal to settle includes a patent cross-licensing agreement.
