Sharp, Samsung, Whirlpool Get Energy Star Awards

Several top names in the CE industry this week were named winners of Energy Star's Partner of the Year awards, including Samsung, Sharp and Whirlpool.

In addition, Samsung and Whirlpool were both awarded the Sustained Excellence Award. Sharp, among TV manufacturers, boasted the biggest share of large screen televisions that were recognized as Energy Star's Most Efficient  for 2012.
