Sirius XM Names New CEO

Sirius XM Satellite Radio said Tuesday that it has named Jim Meyer its new CEO, replacing Mel Karmazin.

Meyer had been interim CEO since late last year. He spent eight years as the company’s President of Sales and Operations.

“I look forward to leading SiriusXM,” Meyer said in a statement. “SiriusXM is a great service with world-class programming that comes from teams of focused and motivated employees. I am honored to be working with our talented management team as we continue to deliver the best content and services to our subscribers nationwide and enhance value for our stockholders.”
