The service launches with 70 full-length titles, including both the run of Breaking Bad and such movies as "Moneyball," "Think Like A Man," "Premium Rush," "Ghostbusters" and "The Amazing Spider-Man." The new TVs, meanwhile, come available in 55- and 65-inch sizes.
"We have been spearheading the advancement of 4K Ultra HD technology from the start, and have now reached another milestone as promised with the Video Unlimited 4K service going live," Sony Electronics President and COO Phil Molyneux said as part of the announcement.
"Sony 4K Ultra HD TVs featuring our exclusive TRILUMINOS Display have been receiving amazing feedback and now we are bringing the most immersive entertainment experiences to new audiences right in their living rooms."
Also at IFA, Sony announced the arrival of its first curved-screen LED TV. The 65-inch model KDL-65S990A.
