Sony Announces Crystal LED TV and New BRAVIAs
Sony rolled out the prototype of a Full HD, 55-inch Crystal LED TV during its CES press conference.
The Crystal LED Display is a self-emitting display that mounts ultrafine LEDs in each of the Red-Green-Blue (RGB) colors, equivalent to the number of pixels (about six-million LEDs for Full HD). The RGB LED light source is mounted directly on the front of the display to improve light efficiency.
Sony also unwrapped three series of BRAVIAs: the entry-level BX, the step-up EX, and the flagship HX. Select models incorporate Dynamic Edge LED with local dimming and Full HD 1080p.
