Sony is looking at delaying the release of its latest OLED TV until 2010, due to concerns that it would lead to major losses in the company's TV division, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday.

Sony's previous OLED TV, an 11-inch model released in 2007 called the XEL-1, was the first TV product ever to use the technology, although mobile phones and other devices have also utilized it. OLED, which stands for organic light-emitting diode, is considered more environmentally friendly than existing HDTV technologies.
