SRS Labs this week announced the arrival of the latest product in its series of iWOW plug-and-play accessories. SRS iWOW Universal, known as the iWOW-U, is described by the company as "a hardware adapter that plugs into the device to deliver a thrilling, and incredibly immersive personal audio entertainment experience."
The iWOW-U includes an internal long-life Lithium-polymer battery, a mini-USB charging port, specialized tunings, in-line control capability and more.
"Since the announcement of our highly popular and award-winning iWOW 3D™ last year, we have received an incredible amount of interest from our fans and friends, as well as the general public, urging us to come up with a device that offers the same stellar audio performance without the limitation of being confined to Apple’s proprietary 30-pin connector,” Allen H. Gharapetian, Senior Vice President of Marketing for SRS Labs, said as part of the announcement.
“So, unlike previous versions of our iWOW branded products that only worked with iDevices, the SRS iWOW-U is designed to deliver that same signature SRS iWOW audio experience universally on any type of portable consumer electronics device featuring a built-in headphone jack.”
