Industry veterans Reed Stevens (formerly of Phoenix Systems) and Jeff Zemanek (formerly of Lutron Electronics) have announced the formation of a new venture, G2 Interactive (G2i.)

G2i is debuting at CEDIA Expo and is described in a statement by the founders as "an all-inclusive service that enables systems integrators and specialty retailers to seamlessly step into a recurring revenue business."

"We’ve utilized five key elements, while maximizing G2i's powerful cloud service," Zemanek said. "The G2i system consists of wireless cameras, touch-screens, lighting, HVAC, door locks, and security devices. As a cloud-based service, the G2i mobile experience is as rich from the road as it is from inside the home, capturing the dramatic consumer shift to the mobile consumption of content. With complete systems and service fees priced competitively against the traditional interactive security industry, G2i’s exclusive members bring a high-touch buying experience to discerning consumers.”

The new company's business model includes five elements: Recurring monthly revenue, turnkey systems, exclusive territories, contract value and plus sales.

“G2i is the interactive services solution that the CEDIA channel has been looking for," Stevens said.

G2i is located at Booth #1734 at CEDIA Expo.
