Systemax's CEO proclaimed himself "disappointed" at the company's earnings for the first quarter, as the company posted a profit of $7 million.
Profit dropped 48 percent from the same time the previous year.
“On an overall basis, I am disappointed in our results for the quarter," CEO Richard Leeds said as part of the announcement. "The performance of our North America technology consumer business was below our internal expectations and masks the strong performance in the rest of the business. We are highly focused on re-establishing revenue growth and improving profitability in this business.
