George Ali, 35

Career History/Accomplishments: Ali co-invented a product that transformed the way DIYers worked: the modular power supply product line in which XConnect was the flagship. Ali was integral in how they were built and manufactured and set the standard for how that product is designed across the board. Ali also is one of only 10 U.S. members of the Microsoft PAC committee.
Ali is proud of his contribution to the DIY community. He was involved with TigerDirect in early stages of customers buying and building computers. He offered his understanding of how to do it and how to sell it.
Ali was studying architecture and pursuing an A+ certification when approached by the CEO of TigerDirect, who offered him a job in the Miami headquarters.
He started at Systemax In 1999 in inbound sales for three years and then became a buyer. Ali worked his way from buyer to merchant to director to vice president. He now oversees all IT product, including PC, laptops, PCs, monitors printers and anything PC-related.
Melissa Andresko, 36

Career History/Accomplishments: Andresko has been with Lutron since graduating from college. She is entrusted with Lutron's brand reputation in national TV, radio and print. She co-led the launch of Lutron's consumer public relations program in 2002 and oversees all domestic PR for the company. Andresko also co-led the 2011 launch of Lutron's social media campaign (Facebook and YouTube channel). She is responsible for having 10 Lutron artifacts donated to The Smithsonian's National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C. Her national Lutron TV appearances include QVC, the Fox News Channel and numerous shows on HGTV and the DIY networks. She has also appeared on numerous local network affiliates throughout the country. "All of my efforts are helping to create awareness of lighting and shade control and to grow the industry," she said.
Todd Beauchamp, 39

Career History/Accomplishments: Beauchamp has worked at American Technology (ATC) in San Diego, where he designed several military products, including the Long Range Acoustic Device (LRAD), which became famous when it was used to save the Spirit cruise liner from a pirate attack, and the flight deck speaker system for the John C. Stennis aircraft carrier. After ATC, he spent five years running the audio lab for Apple's Accessories team and completed the final audio tuning for the first iPhone. Prior to Apple, Beauchamp owned his own consulting company, In2Audio, in San Diego, providing electrical and acoustical services to the CE, military and gaming industries. In2 Technologies is the parent company of Engage, which launched Beauchamp's Unity Home Theater, a flat-panel display platform that includes an integrated speaker system and a Blu-ray/DVD player.
