The company formerly known as Ritz Camera has emerged from bankruptcy with a new focus, moving beyond merely cameras into other CE categories, such as flat-panel TVs and smartphones. That's according to
a feature published this week in the Washington Post. The company is now known as Ritz Camera & Image, and operates 300 stores, including new ones in Atlanta, Boston, Jacksonville, San Diego and Tampa.
A group led by David Ritz, the company's former CEO and nephew of its founder, bought the company out of bankruptcy court in July.
