The FCC this week handed out contracts to several retailers, including Best Buy, to offer free, in-home installation of DTV converter boxes in the final weeks prior to the June 12 analog shutoff.

Best Buy's Geek Squad is contracted in 31 states, with smaller retailers getting their own contracts in individual areas. Best Buy said its free service will be available from now through June 30.

Those interested in finding which service is available in their area can search here.
