The governor of Wisconsin has signed a new law meant to require manufacturers to arrange for recycling of electronics products, including TVs, computers and printers.

According to the AP, the bill was signed by Gov. Jim Doyle after it passed both houses of the state legislature with bipartisan support.

The bill bans electronic waste from the state's landfills. Wisconsin became the 18th state to pass an e-recycling law.
