The long-awaited application that will make Sirius XM Satellite Radio available on iPhones and iPod Touch devices will arrive this Friday.
According to Reuters, the app will be available to subscribers to the satellite service who receive its Internet option, and with a $3 fee for those who don't.
The app is seen as an attempt by Sirius to shore up its flagging subscriber base by tapping into the iPhone market. The application had been scheduled for Spring, but its release will coincide with this week's release of the new iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3.0 software.
June 18th is THURSDAY, not Friday.
