Survey: HDTVs Now in Majority of Households

The percentage of U.S. households owning an HDTV has exceeded 50 percent for the first time, according to a survey released last week by the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing.

The survey found that 53 percent of total U.S. households own an HDTV, a jump over the 35 percent number in 2008.
