The Systemax-affiliated Web site ComputerTV has launched a "Rock Your Quad" bus tour of 13 of Systemax's CompUSA retail locations throughout Florida. The tour, which is sponsored by Intel, will have a multimedia component, as the hosts stream, vlog and "lifecast" the entire two-week tour.
The "Rock Your Quad" tour began July 11 in Jacksonville, with upcoming stops in Brandon, Fla., Wednesday, South Tampa Thursday, and Altamonte Springs Friday. It wraps July 24 in Miami Dade. The company said Tuesday that it drew 15,000 total viewers of the Saturday event in Jacksonville.
The tour includes "How To" presentations at each store, on such topics as "Set Up a Wireless Home Office," "Choose a Laptop," "Connect Your PC to Your HDTV," and many more. In addition, the sessions will be simulcast in all 24 CompUSA retail stores. Participants will also have a chance to win a free Intel Core 2-equipped computer.
