Two major projector manufacturers unveiled new high-end models at CEDIA Expo in Atlanta, with Runco and SIM2 both appearing at the show with new merchandise.

- Runco was certainly on a roll at CEDIA this year, launching over a dozen new products including both the QuantumColor and LightStyle Series Projectors.

The Q-750i and Q-750d offer incredible variety of colors ever available in front projection, including DCI (Digital Cinema Initiative), Adobe RGB, sRGB, REC 709 and REC 601, to enable exact reproduction of any content. Each projector features Runco’s energy-efficient InfiniLight lampless LED illumination technology to deliver impressive performance. The Q-750i also features integrated video processing and will be available in November of this year for an MSRP of $14,995. The Q-750 will be available in December for an MSRP of $17,995.

- SIM2 believes they’ve finally hit a home run this year at CEDIA. One of the main goals of SIM2’s demo of the C3X LUMIS  this year at the show was to show off its impressive DynamicBlack Technology Enhanced Solution and they succeeded.

Sporting a new dimmable 280-watt lamp and a 35,000:1 contrast ratio, this 3-chip Full HD DLP-based home theater projector certainly packs a punch.

The MSRP for the LUMIS is $36,000 and is available now, while the MSRP for the MICO 50 is $25,000 and will be available in late November.
