Uniden Adds New Executives
Uniden this week announced the arrival of several new executives. Kip Sullivan is now the company’s executive vice president of sales and marketing, while Derek Blubaugh is now director of sales focusing on North America.
In addition, Paul Optiz has been named director of product development, while Mark Lessor is responsible for the company’s lineup in the video surveillance category. J. Patrick Reirdon is director of operations, while Franklin Raines
has been named national account manager.
Uniden’s new products, at CES, were meant to get beyond the brand’s association with the cordless phone market. The company introduced products in the home automation, video surveillance and handheld scanner categories.

“One of the things that drew me back to Uniden was its focus on developing new products and driving sales in a targeted number of categories,” Kip Sullivan said in a statement. “The products that we are bringing out this year have innovations and features that consumer want, and we will continue creating products in other growth categories that complement Uniden’s brand and deliver real value to our consumer base.”
