Vann’s Plans Liquidation

Montana retailer Vann’s will liquidate, after more than 50 years in business. The Missoulian newspaper was the first to report that the company’s bankruptcy proceeding had switched to liquidation.

Vann’s plans to close all stores, and has presented its employees with 60-day layoff notices. The stores won’t close immediately, however, until the conclusion of court proceedings.

The retailer, which was founded in 1961, entering bankruptcy proceedings in early August, with the intention of keeping its five stores in business.
