Verizon Confirms Android Tablet in the Works

Verizon and Google are working on an Android-powered tablet device that will compete with the iPad, Verizon Wireless' CEO confirmed to the Wall Street Journal Wednesday.
Lowell McAdam told the newspaper that the companies are working together on the project, but did not confirm a timetable for a release or any other specific details about the device such as a manufacturer.
The two companies have recently collaborated on several popular mobile devices, including the Droid smartphone.
