Vizio Takes Top Spot in LCD Share
Vizio said this week that, according to IHS iSuppli's ranking, it has reclaimed the top spot in domestic LCD TV market share. According to the survey, Vizio now has 18.5 percent of the market, followed by Samsung with 17.6 percent, LG with 10 percent and Sony with 6.6 percent.
Also, according to Quixel Research, Vizio has also taken the top spot in the sound bar market share rankings.
“Vizio’s focus has always been to make the best technology accessible to all consumers,” Matt McRae, Vizio Chief Technology Officer, said in a statement. “Today’s announcement of Vizio’s #1 rank in both LCD HDTVs and sound bars validates our approach and demonstrates that Vizio products continue to resonate with the U.S. consumer.”
