Retail brand consultant the Interbrand Design Forum has issued its rankings of the most valuable retail brands in the U.S., and Walmart is #1 by a wide margin, followed by Best Buy in the second spot. Target is fourth, Dell is sixth, Amazon.com 14th, and RadioShack 33rd.

Walmart's value as a brand was estimated at just under $130 billion, far ahead of Best Buy (about $20.8 billion.) The since-liquidated Circuit City did not make the list, which was released for the first time.

“In a recession, brand is more important than ever, as retailers with a well-positioned brand have the opportunity to thrive and seize a bigger piece of the pie in terms of customers," the Forum's CEO, Lee Carpenter, said as part of the announcement. "During a period of increased competition and lowered sales, brands that have successful propositions, such as Walmart, and offer an engaging shopping experience, like Best Buy, will come out on top.”

It's like I've commented on before. Shop at Wallmart cut your throat. Wallmart is a predatory corporation. It doesn't care about America, the American workers or anybody else. If you want to end up working at a minimum wage job, continue to shop at Wallmart. Wallmart's goal from the beginning was to put every Mom and Pop retailer out of business and create minimum wage jobs. Small business's have been the backbone of America. Wallmart wishes to crush all who stand in their way. I for one will never shop at Wallmart. Brand name? Can we say GREEDY.

The most valuable brand at what? Streamrolling local economies and shipping American jobs to communist China?

Walmart is a scourge on the American economy. It's why I'm doing work with WakeUpWalmart.com, and I encourage you to join!
