Withings Debuts Activite Watch at CE Week

Withings, a company previously known mostly for scales and other connected health products, at CE Week Thursday unveiled the Activite, a Swiss-made watch- with a “French touch”- that doubles as a fitness tracker.

“We have not been seeing much marriage between fashion and technology,” Cedric Hutchings, the company’s cofounder, said at the CE Week press conference. But he shied away from the “wearable” label.’

“We don’t call [clothes] a ‘wearable,’ Hutchings, said, “we just wear them.”

The other key selling point is that the Activite can go a full year on one charge.

The Activite arrives this fall, with a listed price of $390.
