Women in Consumer Electronics this week announced that it will hold a second annual Career Enhancement Forum this June as part of CE Week in New York.

This year's forum, scheduled for June 25, will use the theme "Empower Your Entrepreneurial Spirit," and will take place at the Rubin Museum of Art in Manhattan. Kay Koplovitz, founder of USA Networks, is the keynote speaker, while Springboard cofounder Amy Millman will present "The Dolphin Tank," a business pitch platform similar to that of the TV show "Shark Tank."

Sam Horn will lead a featured workshop on "OWN IT! How to Give and Get the Respect you Deserve," while MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski will deliver a closing keynote.

“Our second annual forum will feature sessions and discussions that are designed to provide women with strategies and tools that will make entrepreneurship a more integral part of their business approach, regardless of the size of the business. It is the spirit of entrepreneurship that fuels success”  Carol Campbell, founder of Women in CE, said as part of the announcement.

“We are very excited about our lineup of speakers including Kay Koplovitz and Mika Brzezinski who will touch on a variety of themes that will encourage participants from all sectors of the CE industry to think bigger and bolder within the realms of innovation and possibility. We encourage attendees to register early since we expect this year’s Career Enhancement Forum to rapidly sell-out.”

Early bird registration for the event opens March 15, for a $50 savings. The early bird rate of $199 for members expires May 15, while the early bird for non-members is $299.

Sponsors for the event include Azione Unlimited, Bedrock Learning, CTPG, CustomRetailer, Dealerscope, HES, HTSA and Specialty Electronics Nationwide, as well as Core Brands (Featured workshop and lanyard); Klipsch (sessions); Mack Worldwide Warranty (networking breakfast) and Velodyne (badge holder and notebooks.)
