Yamaha Debuts Aventage Blu-ray Player

Yamaha’s AV division this week announced the arrival of the Aventage BD-A1040, a universal Blu-ray Disc player featuring expanded connectivity, including Bluetooth.

“The same painstaking craftsmanship and attention to detail our engineers place on our Aventage AV receivers has been applied to the BD-A1040, giving consumers the purest audio and video quality for all TV watching and home theater experiences,” Bob Goedken, general manager, AV Division, Yamaha Corporation of America, said as part of the announcement.

“The superior performance, convenience and flexibility of this universal Blu-ray Disc player cannot be overstated.”

The specs include:

AVENTAGE build quality features include a high-grade aluminum front panel that dampens vibrations, as well as symmetrical audio circuitry design with 192 kHz/32-bit DAC and gold-plated output terminals. Ensuring the highest video quality, the BD-A1040 features 1080p/24 Hz HDMI video output, x.v.Color and Deep Color compatibility, video noise reduction and 1080p playback for DVDs, photos and home videos.

The player is coming in August at an MSRP of $449.95
