Hestan Unveils Groundbreaking “Smart Gas” Technology

Blue flames on gas stove burner.

Today Hestan announced breakthrough Smart Gas Technology, which can automatically regulate temperature to the exact degree for precise gas cooking. Removing the guesswork of low, medium and high temperature settings, Smart Gas is available in the brand’s 36-in. Smart Gas Dual Fuel Range and 36-in. Smart Gas Rangetop. Smart Gas cooking works in unison with the Hestan Smart Pan, which features Bluetooth technology and patented embedded culinary sensors that automatically control cooking temperature once the burner’s AccuKnob is set to the desired degree.

The Hestan Smart Gas burner is a high-performance dual-flow gas system that heats to temperatures from 100 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit in 25-degree increments. Controlling the Smart Gas burner, the AccuKnob has an LCD touchscreen display that can be set to degrees in Fahrenheit or Celsius. It also features a dual cooking mode, so if manual cooking is preferred, there are 12 heat settings that can be used with any cookware.

Also happening today, Amazon announced that more than 300 million items were sold during what the company called its biggest Prime Day yet. The company said Prime members globally bought more than 100,000 items per minute during the event, and the top-selling categories in the U.S. were consumer electronics, home goods and Amazon-branded devices. According to Amazon, thousands of users hosted livestreams during this year’s event on Amazon Live, which might have contributed to this year’s success.

Finally, data from FTI Consulting shows that online retail sales are expected to reach $1.07 trillion in 2022, instead of the originally anticipated 2025. The same report also predicts that e-commerce sales will go over $2 trillion by 2030, and online sales will make up 31 percent of the market share by the end of the decade.
