Roy Firestone to Keynote at Nationwide’s PrimeTime! Kickoff

Nationwide Marketing Group (NMG) announced Wednesday that broadcast journalist and former ESPN host Roy Firestone will be the keynote speaker at their PrimeTIme! Kickoff on Aug. 17 at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas. The PrimeTime! event is the official start of the largest three-day vendor exhibition and buying show for independent electronics, appliances and furniture dealers in the U.S. “We are excited to have Roy Firestone kick off PrimeTime! in Vegas,” said Nationwide President Ed Kelly said in a statement. “HIs ability to inspire a crowd and his exceptional vocal talents are sure to entertain and motivate all who attend.”

The Environmental Protection Agency last week named the winners of its Excellence in Energy Star Promotion award, which goes to companies who went the extra mile in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Among the winners in the electronics sector were Whirlpool, Sears, and the Nationwide Marketing Group. Nationwide was recognized in the Excellence in Energy Star Promotion category. “Nationwide Marketing Group believes in the value and benefits of energy efficiency, the energy star message and the importance of sharing its benefits with our customers,” the company’s national merchandise manager of appliances, Richard Weinberg, said in a statement.
