The 2011 International CES will include a section in the Las Vegas Convention Center devoted to major appliance exhibitors, a Consumer Electronics Association spokesperson confirmed to Dealerscope. Details were not available on the amount of space earmarked for the area, or the names and number of exhibitors. The decision to give appliances a section was based on "overwhelming demand from exhibitors, both current and potential," the spokesperson told Dealerscope.
Del Conte Named CEA Line Shows Conference Chair

Consumer Electronics Association Wednesday announced that journalist and television correspondent Natali Del Conte has been named the conference chair for this year's CEA Line Shows Conference Program, which will take place June 22-23 at 7 West 34th St. in New York. Del Conte, a correspondent on CBS' "The Early Show" and host on CNET, will speak at the event as well. “I’m really excited to help put together an event that will be informational and informative,” Del Conte said as part of the announcement. “I attend conferences to get excited about the industry and also to exchange ideas about where we are going and where we’ve been. I look forward to chairing such a key technology event that benefits the entire industry.”
