Pioneer's Executive Vice President of Home Electronics Russ Johnston shows how HTC Connect enables him to play music from his phone wirelessly over a network of Pioneer speakers.

In this demonstration the Pioneer A1, A3, and A4 speakers are named for rooms in the home. HTC Connect works over the wireless network so music is uncompressed and can play from up to 100 feet away -- both better capabilities than Bluetooth. HTC is also planning to add video streaming to HTC Connect.

The speakers here were designed by legendary audio engineer Andrew Jones so that these mono speakers sound like stereo. The A1 costs $299 and can connect to the home wireless network. The A3 adds a rechargeable battery and the ability to create a wireless network of its own for HTC Connect to work on the go, and is $399. The A4 is also $399 and includes 5 speakers and a subwoofer.
