Describe your current role.
I manage a portfolio of vendors where we develop strategic business plans for different vertical markets.

What accomplishment(s) are you most proud of?
My wife and I once did a five-day backpacking trip through Paria Canyon where we hiked almost 60 miles and crossed a river about two hundred times.

What do you like best about your job?
It’s definitely the people that I’m fortunate enough to work with. My Ingram Micro peers are like my second family to me, and hands down are the best thing about coming to work every day. Getting to work with new, emerging technologies is a strong second!

What technology are you most excited about at the moment?
I am most excited about the growth and popularity of Competitive Gaming and Esports. Competitive Gaming is providing a great platform for students to build social skills and it’s also helping to bridge the digital divide. I’m very excited to see where Esports is headed in the Scholastic vertical.

Who in the CE or technology industry do you look up to, and why?
I would have to say Bill Gates. Not only did he help start a multibillion-dollar company in his garage, but he has done some great things philanthropically.
What career advice would you give to people just getting started in the CE or technology industry?
Strong social skills are your friend. This industry is heavily reliant on relationship-building. Break out of your shell and focus on meeting people and building as many relationships as possible.

What, in your opinion, is necessary for the CE/technology industry to thrive in the next five years?
Strong infrastructure is going to be a key contributor for the CE industry to thrive. With 5G rolling out in more places, this will allow for more connected devices to support everything from competitive gaming and entertainment to smart-city monitoring.
