Distraction Education May Bring More Store Traffic
I digress here some, but I’m simply trying to make a point. That point is that if we wait around for the next big thing, we may soon find ourselves covered in cobwebs. There is opportunity staring us in the face, and for some reason the 12-volt industry is caught sitting on their collective hands.
I admire the work of HTSA and others in the CEDIA world who have taken the “Green” global marketing offensive and are working it to their advantage. Here, we see a community in search of green solutions and an industry seeking to meet these demands to the benefit of both. Bravo!
Best Buy and some others have decided to take an approach that involves marketing to customers' solution needs. They look to complete the sale by ensuring the products work as appropriate to the consumers' specific needs before they walk out the door. Simplifying technologies that are intimidating to many consumers is strong marketing that goes a long way in selling products.
