On Wednesday, the PhotoImaging Manufacturers and Distributors Association (PMDA) announced the winners of their annual award. PDMA Person of the Year went to Brad Anderson, CEO and vice chairman of Best Buy. Other winners include Minoru Usui, director and deputy chief executive for Seiko Epson Corporation, who won the Technical Achievement Award; Henry Wilhelm, president of Wilhelm Imaging Research, who won the Lifetime Achievement Award; Mark Seliger, who won for Photographer of the year and Kodak’s Steve Sasson, who won the PMDA Visionary Award for inventing one of the first digital cameras.
The awards will be handed out at the annual PMDA awards dinner on March 7, 2007 in Las Vegas.
