2016 CES Highlights from the VOXX Brand Portfolio
CarLinkBT – a Bluetooth module/smartphone app that is compatible with most remote start systems for the car. It turns a smartphone into a transmitter, giving the user remote access to the vehicle. The $7.99 one-time charge for the app enables the user to lock or unlock and start a vehicle. Downloading the app also gives users acess to the CarLink Insurance Discount Program. A premium service upgrade service plan is available that provides other functionality like e-call service, roadside and stolen-vehicle assistance, and driver safety features like text-blocking and speed alerts.
Klipsch’s 70th Anniversary – Klipsch Group’s Paul Jacobs, president and CEO, said that the brand is marking this special year with the introduction of the Reference Premiere HD Wireless speaker system, which delivers lossless, high-performance audio and is expandable from two channels to 7.2 channels in 40 possible configurations and uses WiSA technology. The new Reference Premiere P-15PM powered monitors are also new; they boast an integrated phono preamp, Bluetooth technology, and digital optical, analog RCA and USB audio inputs. There will be a retro-designed speaker pair inspired by the company’s Heritage system. Five new soundbars debut with HDMI connectivity, with several boasting Play-Fi wireless capability. In headphones, there will be a full line of wireless models coming out, as well as the company’s first Reference over-ear Bluetooth headphones.
Eleven new Jamo-branded products will bow including Bluetooth-enabled models; they will range from $49 to $199.
