2019 Dealerscope IMPACT Awards: Editors’ Choice Winners
Dealerscope’s annual IMPACT Awards Program is designed to recognize products in the consumer electronics industry that are innovative, help drive sales on the show floor, and bring foot traffic into retailers’ stores.
While the unique nature of this program puts the real power in the hands of our audience, we still like to have a little bit of a say in the matter as well—because tech editors, right?
So, each year, on top of the products that the audience decides to honor, we identify a handful of Editors Choice Winners, and this year we’ve got three very distinct and different honorees.
Each honoree is a true leader in their respective category, whether that be the smart home, television, or wireless home audio space. So, without further ado, let us present you with this year’s 2019 Dealerscope IMPACT Award Editors’ Choice Winners.
OS 2.10.4 with When >> Then Automation
Rolled out earlier this year during CEDIA 2018, Control4 upgraded their platform’s operating system with a whole host of new features and functionality. But the thing that stands out most about the new OS 2.10.4 is the added ability to completely personalize the smart home experience for the user with When >> Then options. Explained simple, When >> Then gives the Control4 customer—or the installing integrator—the ability to set up all kinds of action >> reaction scenarios throughout the smart home right in the customer’s Control4 account. For example, when the door sensor detects motion, then the TV will turn to a specific channel; or when the kitchen keypad is pressed, activate a specific lighting scene. There are tons of possibilities, all of which aim at simplifying and making the at-home experience more efficient.
Who would’ve ever thought you could buy the family an entire home theater system in just a couple of boxes. Sure, there are more powerful, fully loaded and integrated home theater experiences out there. But with those, you’re looking at dropping tens of thousands of dollars. With Enclave, you’re getting A really strong home theater experience for a fraction of the cost (just $999). But wait, there’s more. This is a wire free 5.1 home theater experience. One of the craziest things about the Enclave system is that, one your speakers are in position and plugged into their power source, a simple press of a button starts the connection process, and seconds later you have a fully synced home theater experience. The sales pitch for Enclave: It’s a strong, simple, seamless home theater system that doesn’t break the bank.
